Still no AMS F4E auto update after two days

I have the F4E with Tacpack. I got the e-mail notice yesterday of new F4E and F4E tacpack auto updates through the AMS.
I`ve been opening the F4E in the AMS regularly since yesterday, and nothing has happened yet. I ve checked the last date
modified for the Phantom II folder in Simobjects, and it shows May-01-2017 (which is when I got the previous updates).
I m not certain where I would look to see the current installed version number.

Am I doing something wrong?

Please right click on your AMS and Open File location. Confirm that you have a versions folder in it with a F4E folder with 2 XML files in it.

Also please confirm that you have an Updater.exe in your AMS directory.

Yes, a Versions folder with the two F4E .xml files and an Updater.exe are all present.

I also made an exception for the AMS folder in my AV, but still no auto update.

I previously did get an auto update on May-02-2017, I guess it was the first test one, but there's
been nothing since then.

Is there a way of seeing which F4E version I now have? I'm pretty certain I didn't miss any auto
update when opened the F4E in the AMS in the last couple of days, but just to confirm.

If you open the 2 xml files in note pad they should show 1.5.0.3 and 1.5.0.2. If the updated they would show 1.5.0.4 and 1.5.0.3. You can try editing them (drop the last digit one number down) to see if that will trigger the system.

Still no luck. The versions inside the .xml files show as .3 and .2. I tried
dropping down one digit as suggested to .2 and .1, but no AMS auto update,
even after a PC restart.

I still have my last e-mail download updates for F4E and F4E tacpack from
Apr-26-2017; do you think uninstalling the current version and reinstalling
those Apr-26 versions would maybe kick the AMS auto update system in? Or
would I just be left with the Apr-26 versions instead of the May-02 versions?

Yes! The new .exe and .dll worked. F4E and F4E tacpack auto updated, and versions .4 and .3 now show
in the MVAMS Versions folder.

Is the automatic AMS updater just for just for the ADV F-4E? If so, disregard the rest of this.

I purchased my F-4E just under a year ago so I assume it came wit SP1 - the version appears to be A1.160306
I also have the TACPACK versions of the F-86 and F-100.

All three aircraft show up in the AMS (My file says MVAMS…different?)

My AMS folder has none of the files mentioned above.
i.e. I don't have an Updater.exe file. My MVAMS folder does not have a "versions" folder…so obviously no XML files.


…and finally…so the F-4E also shows up in the Milviz MM along with the F-4J, the F-4S and 407. I'm thinking that I should only use the AMS folder to configure the F-4E since I am using it pretty much exclusively with TACPACK…Yes? No?

AMS is just short hand for MVAMS. And no it is for all 3 F-4E packages as well as the F-4S/J. All our products are being moved to it.

You haven't received the latest installer then for the F-4E. It should be 170721. That will add the latest base package with the updater system. You should also install the latest versions of the F-86 and F-100 and F-4J/S (v170607, 170615, 170721 respectively) to get the latest MVAMS files.

Thanks - that did it - Now I have all my MILVIZ fighters in AMS.

And I see all my F-4s have disappeared from the MM that I use for the 407. Pretty cool. You guys rock!
