No MVAMS

Post by Wings of Gold » Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:22 pm

I have recently reinstalled my Phantoms on a new computer. I installed my 180712_JS first, and then my TPADV over that. After the installs I see no MVAMS. I had it on my old computer. I can install my old textures, but the Phantom are almost uncontrollable. Advice please!

You sure your AV didn't wipe it out? User\AppData\Local\MVAMS is where it should be located.

Thanks for the location - I now have a MVAMs icon on my desktop. However, my Phantoms still are nearly uncontrollable. No other aircraft in my extensive hangar flies this way! Can't understand why. I DID download and install my Phantoms with my Anti-virus OFF.
Any ideas would be MOST appreciated - as this is probably my favorite aircraft. Perhaps I should start another topic?

Regards,

Bill

Well the ADV phantoms have a much more advanced flight model (completely external). Trim is everything (get a good bit of nose down trim before takeoff), and having the 3 SAS switches on might help a bit.

Hi JB,

Will do as you advise. Forgot to mention that I'm a retired Naval Aviator (so reasonably able to recognize what my Phantoms FDE used to be like - and what it is like now).

Your advise was very helpful. Hope APC will stop lower speed control loss. Biggest annoyance at the moment is the bright blue canopy glass. How to get rid of it - and return to normal untinted glass?

Thanks JB. I have looked for the Dynamic Reflections in both "shift +1" and the MVAMS". Can't find it. I give up - Please tell me where.

Thanks again. Bill
