MVAMS & FSUIPC

Post by farman » Tue Sep 05, 2017 10:53 am

Hi,
since I'm used to "personalize" controls & command of each aircraft in my hangar through FSUIPC, am I wrong if I do not make use of the MVAMS for this purpose (mapping the controls)?
Thanks & regards,
Fulvio

I can't really help if you run into problems when trying to map commands that are in the AMS via FSUIPC. So for best results feel free to use FSUIPC for commands not covered in the AMS but otherwise use the AMS.

Hi Jonathan,
sorry to come back on the nearly same issue. Do you have some knowledge - from other users or MilViz developement - about incompatibility between FSUIPC and the Phantoms, when command are sent to FSUIPC? Commands working during a flight, once I quit from P3D and re-open it for a new flight, doesn't work anymore (for instance rudder set, left & right brake axis and, particularly, if I want to map separately the two throttles, the left one is nto working at all (I'm flying with TM HOTASWarthog(.
Thanks for any help,
Fulvio

Yes. It only occurs if you calibrate via FSUIPC. If you just map without calibrating it works fine. PMDG requires the same thing to be done.

Hi Jonathan,
thanks for your quick answer. I'll delete ev'ry single command; it's a pity, since FSUIPC can give many more calibrations.
Thanks again,
Fulvio

Note, you only need to do this for the F-4. You can still leave your commands on for other aircraft.

Jonathan, thanks for your adding; BTW, you mean "calibration" only not working or "mapping" too? It's different, of course.

Calibration only. Mapping through FSUIPC is ok.

Ive found if windows and fsx can see and calibrate your control input then don't mess with it through FSUIPC, just map switches if you wish then save the profile to that aircraft.
