Updates released via the AMS

Post by JonathanBleeker » Thu Sep 07, 2017 11:12 am

New updates have been released via the AMS for both the E and the J/S. Run the MVAMS and select the aircraft and you should get a message telling you an update is available. Follow the prompts from there.

Hi Jonathan,
my problem with the AMS is as follows:
pressing Shift+1 - the window appears, but no contents or clickspots, just a lightbrown window.
So, i installed Micrososft redistributable 2008 (64) but this didn't work. I still cant use the AMS. Looks from my side that something is missing that has nothing to do with the MILVIZ Phantom. I have no Idea what that can be. The Updates always comes by mail, not from the AMS....so thats another strange point. If i get no mail, i don't know if there is a update or not.
Any tips?

P.S. sorry for my weird english - i'm from switzerland :-/

The AMS is not the ingame loadout manager. It is a separate program and a shortcut should be on your Desktop. It sounds however like you are missing certain libraries. 2008 is no longer used. We are using VS2015 instead now. But it might be your DirectX libraries that are missing. What sim are you using?

Hi Jonathan,
i'm using FSX Gold Edition (Swiss people are rich people....haha)+ Acceleration Pack. I think too that there is something missing what makes the AMS running.
Like i said, after Shift+1, the Window appears, but it shows nothing and is empty - no clickspots or something else; just a transparent WIndow......hmm.
The ingame loadaout manager works perfect for all aircraft, so no worries about that.
I'm not sure if i already have VS2015 installed, but i'm almost sure that i have this installed - i'll check this out when at home and let you know, okay?

This is the library to download. But again, you missed what I said about the AMS. Shift+1 is the loadout manager, not the AMS. The AMS is an entirely separate program located on your desktop. Below is a screenshot of the AMS.

Yes, you're right: i mixed the description up: AMS is working, the loadout manager is not working. Sorry for confusing you.
So, as soon as i'm back home, i'll check oit if i have VS2015 installed.

Okay, I have checked the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable and I've got both; the x64 and the x86. But I'm not sure if I got Update 3 installed, 'cuz the installation was around mid 2017.
So, I'm going to install Update 3 and have a look what happened and come back with positive news (problem solved....) or negative news (problem likes me...).

Still no succsess - installed Microsoft Redistributable 2015 (x64) Update 3, downloaded the newest Update from Milviz F-4 J/S (vA1.171116_JS) and installed it.
Still only a empty Window afterpressing Shift+1.....hmmm

Download this and let it unpack to a temporary folder of your choice. Then run the DXSETUP.exe from that folder.

You must have an old version of the F-4. Can you tell us what version you have?
