Using a Touch Screen for the FMC

Post by sharpless281 » Tue Mar 02, 2021 3:26 am

One of my non touch screens (10 inch 1980x1020) went out so I moved my same size touch screen from the second computer (use that to run a app called fs-flightcontrol - (connects to the sim like Foreflight but shows street maps better). Anyway, So I set the touch screen as the primary monitor, (need to do that to make the touch screen work) and put the FMC there. My thought was can I run the sim (p3D 5.1) on a second monitor and use the FMC keyboard on the touch screen. It worked very well on a flight from Santa Ana to San Diego. So I will order a bigger touch screen, 12 inch to make it a little easier to use the keyboard. I have 3 monitors all the same size (1920x1980) one is a 55 inch sony TV. I keep them all the same because when I load the P3D file for the flight, everything stays in place.
