ProLine 21 - PFD
Dear all,
Is there anybody here who is somewhat familiar with the Proline 21, specifically PFD Operation?
I need some info regarding the Pitch Up/Down Chevrons and the Horizon Line Movement when the aircraft is in an unusually high/low pitch attitude.
Do you know how these behave exactly?
It would help a lot to have this info to make the PL21 PFD as accurate as possible.
Thanks in advance and Regards !

If you are talking about declutter mode then the info is in the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Base Manual, revision 1 starting on page 22-59.

Hello Ken !

Are you asking the red chevrons in an PFD unusual attitude? They should display +30/-20 in pitch. I'm referencing Rev 4 of the King Air PL21 w/ IFIS.

Again I suggest you read Rockwell Collins manual 523-0807239 Pro Line 21 Base Manual revision 1 page 22-59 to 22-62. It should describe most of what you are looking for and has an image of the red chevrons. The information Dustoff gave is a very small part of the answer you seek. Due to copyright I cannot copy and paste the entire information here as it is many pages.N0L3R wrote:Hello Ken !

Re: ProLine 21 - PFD
Dear All,
I am following the Manual in all my steps.
I also know that it is a +30/-20 when they appear.
The problem that I have is their behaviour, ergo:
When they appear, do they stay at the very top/bottom of the attitude indicator or do they continue to move in pitch alongside the pitch ladder?
What is meant by 'slide out'?
What is meant by 'scale expands to +/- 90 degrees?
This is the kind of stuff I'm looking for.
Thanks for your help, please keep supplying the info.

I am working the legacy King Airs right now so I don't know when I will have a chance to get back into a PL21 sim.

I'm not due for a recurrent sim until early 2017, but I keep thread in mind.

PM sent with a link to the video.
Update: Since you failed to respond to my PM I can only assume that you are no longer interested. I have deleted my PM and removed the video. I am not going to leave this stuff up forever...
