P3D v4

Post by farman » Mon Jul 24, 2017 10:43 pm

Hi,
will the P-38 be updated to P3D v4? The default one doesn't work properly (lights doesn't work), so...
Thanks for any answer,

Yes, I know it, but I was referring to the yours one - in your product page still for P3D v3 -. The one in v4 doesn't work properly (no lights at all).

Yes, thanks you, you already told me that about the lack of support for the product you gave to P3D. My question was if YOUR P-38 will be updated. I understand that you'll not do it, since it's in v4. It's a pity :(

There is a way to get the lights working in v4....

Unzip this into your P-38 panel folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wa8vhhg4wrscp ... s.zip?dl=0

And unzip this into your P-38 texture folder: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gkcagmv167vmv ... L.zip?dl=0

Hopefully that should get it working again. But as KC pointed out, it isn't supported so can't guarantee I will spend much time to solve any problems with it.

Hi,
thanks for your kind and quick help. At least your files fixed the exterior lights issue; the interior ones are still not working. But this is less important, actually.
Of course any further help to get 100% functionality will be welcome.
Regards,
Fulvio

Urm...Those were specifically to fix the interior, not the exterior. But there is one more thing to try. If you have the P-38 installed in another simulator, copy the folders that you find inside the texture folder in that sim over to your v4 version's texture folder. Hopefully that will sort it out.

Hi JB,
again, thanks for your help. Unfortunately my only installed version is v4 (each time I get rid of the old ones). It doesn't matter, really; it was very kind of you in trying help me.

Hi,
must we wait for the usual update for the Phantoms to work in P3D v4.1?

Hi,
My download from FlightSimShop is no more available. May I please get a link to re-download the P-38 and try to follow Jonathan advice - i.e., copy two files in the proper actual folder -.
Attached my proof of purchase from the vendor.
I understand this may be an unusual request, so thanks in advance for any help.
regards,
Fulvio Arman

Hi,
yes, I know i - of course -, included the interior lights issue (as for my former posts). This is the reason for my request; perhaps my bad English didn't explain the meaning of it.
Doesn't matter,
Regards,
Fulvio
