Dead Zone in the External sound

Post by superskullmaster » Sun Nov 11, 2018 2:50 am

Everything installed perfectly and it flies great, no issues with systems or anything but the problem is that when looking externally at the right hand rear of the aircraft there is no sound, like something is wrong with the sound cones or something. Any ideas?

Is this the angle?
Do you have afterburner on?

I can hear the jet sound with AB on everywhere outside the sim.
However, It is strangely quiet with AB off.
The ambient sounds persist in pause; the AB sounds do not.

Check from the 4:30 angle. If I can see up the tailpipe I can hear. If not it’s oddly silent.

Did you try pressing the "Q" key twice (toggle sound) to see if this fixes the issue?

That just muted everything. There is plenty of sound everywhere except for that 4:30 to 5 o’clock position.

Hi all,

I can confirm that the sound set in the current installer (v1.170615) contains errors which causes "dead spots" when panning the camera around the aircraft in external views.

An update for the F-100D sound set that fixes the issues is available here:

Just unzip into the "...\SimObjects\Airplanes\Milviz F-100D\sound.MV_F100" folder and overwrite when prompted.

Hopefully this update will be included in a future installer.

Enjoy! :)

Thank you for being honest. I know some people here shy away from issues or ignore them. Everything works great now.
