Tacan Paired Frequency Error

Post by Chopper » Fri Mar 24, 2017 12:53 am

When flying in FSX@War missions I came across a Tacan Paired Frequency issue. The airbase has a Tacan of 070/112/3. The F-100D will not index to 070. Instead it goes to 060 with a frequency of 112.3. Frequency is correct, Tacan should be 070.

See the Tacan Paired Frequency Chart below . . used in FSX/P3D and in real-world:

57Y 112.05
58X 112.10
58Y 112.15
59X 112.20
59Y 112.25
70X 112.30
70Y 112.35

There is NO 060 used in this chart.

So to navigate to my base I used 060 in the Super Sabre to navigate to base.
Should be an easy fix/correction in your next update,
thanks,
Chopper

Tacan isn't actually used in FSX but it might be in FSX@war... which, by the by, is not our product nor, sadly, is it supported by us.

That said, if the coder wishes to modify his aircraft to allow this, we will put it up.

Your answer makes no sense to me . . .

You produce an aircraft with a TACAN feature . . it works fine . . the issue is that your plane doesn't allow 070 to be turned to. The correct frequency for 070 (112.30) works only when you turn to 060.
Many other aircraft uses TACAN with no issues.

This is NOT an FSX@War issue. This is a MILVIZ issue.

If you put TACAN into your jets, making it work correctly to the correct frequency is your issue, step up, take responsibility, if not make in inoperative, just don't do it half-ass and blame another program or manufacturer.

Very disappointed in your response, its only been posted on your site since March . . you had a chance to fix it in this last update.

I don't have an issue with taking responsibly.

I do, however, not know what the heck you're talking about so... blasting me is not cool... (or acceptable).

The coder who did this aircraft, barely shows up... so when he DOES... he will look at your issue (which is what I SAID)...

He will know if it's us or someone else.
