Nope.
CJ the redistX64 you provided was unable to load C++2015, which was not present due to ++2017. I removed ++2017, loaded in ++2015 with zero issues …or results to my lighting problem.
I created a "OEM Hanger" folder and put the OEM NightLighting folder & files in there. Then I loaded into the Beaver main folder the replacement NightLighting folder and files you supplied above (Thank you for that).

The XMLTools64 installer (in Beaver main folder with it's brothers) ran great and reported happiness with it's DLL connection.
Still, no joy.
As I reported; the only interior lights are the Cabin lights which are just luminous squares around the Nav gear. It's circuit breaker works (very cool by the way) and the rheostat doesn't really dim as much as it just shuts the cabin light (2 luminous squares) off, but it does have an effect on the light. It turns it off.

Thanks again for your efforts. Don't give up on me CJ ...I'm counting on you. :)

sidebar: I know your team can make this work. I know this has been an issue for you folks for at least 2 years (past forums). Plz tell me if this is a lost cause. I'll respect your honesty and move on. I'm a retired engineer, my 40 year work model was "Go big or Go Home". Kinda sounds like " quality or why bother" doesn't it? Thanks again for your efforts!

Absolutely. I'll need a little bit of time to reload your aircraft to get your pic and send. I've seen pictures from other posts of the same thing dating back (I believe you've responded to more than one regarding this issue on Avsim alone) to 2017. This appears to not be a new problem for Milviz. The other posts I've read describe the exact issue I'm having. Actually, it repeats itself in posts regarding the Nightlighting app with p3d in the 737 as well.
I think its a "right on" assessment, back in 2017, when someone representing Milviz said "It's a LM thing, not us". If that is the case I'd humbly suggest you change your ad's to read Some p3d v4 lighting issues. That would have really helped me and the others I see posting their frustrations with the Nightlighting system. It may have saved us $ or it may not have been an issue at all for some. One user didn't even know his Beaver's internal lights didn't work ...his buddy had to tell him. It was not an issue for him, he only flies in the daylight. :)
Actually if you search "Milviz Nightlighting not working" on your favorite engine you will find a lot of posts regarding my issue. CJ, I do believe your handle is attached to some of those posts. Honestly its why I'm a bit confused as to why this issue is still present.

Again, I am genuinely grateful for all of your efforts in helping me keep this aircraft in my collection. She really is a gem other than this issue.
I get back with a pic shortly.

As you can see with the Cabin light on this is what I get ...luminous squares around my nav gear.
The Map and Inst. light switches do nothing in my p3d v4 sim.

Thanks CJ

Its going to be complicated , Jon will need to have some diagnostic tools involved in seeing what your setup is missing , Its apparent that the lighting dll would not load and equally evident all the bits are in the right folders , what remains is the dll wont load and all the standard dependencies are in place .

There are a number of requisites in the 64 bit environment and we have seldom failed to track down what's missing using the diagnostic tools , It will be sunday before Jon is available .

Till then fly during the day , will touch base again soon.

Thank you kindly CJ. Day flying will certainly work until we get this figured out. I've got some beautiful scenery to enjoy. Please let me know what I can do to help.

Until then, you've been extremely kind and professional. Thank you.

I need you to download this and put it in a temporary folder of your choice. http://www.dependencywalker.com/depends22_x86.zip

Once you start the Dependency Walker process, drag the lighting dll into Dependency Walker and drop it. Collapse all the menus as displayed in the outlined area in the below image.

Then post a screenshot so I can check for missing libs. Do this also for the lighting exe

Looks like all the required libraries are present. Next step of debugging: Please enable Content Error Logging in your P3D General settings. Run the sim, select the Beaver, then close P3D and go to your user\documents\Prepar3D v4 files and grab the ContentErrors.txt file and post it here please.

Ok so the dll is loading. Right click on both the dll and the lighting exe that Chuck gave you and select properties and check if there is an unblock button/checkbox. Check it if it is there, and check if the exe is set to run as admin.

No luck sir. No change. I didn't see an "unblock" button ...actually, never have. Are you referring to the Allow Deny buttons in the properties/security window? Mine are set to Allow.

From properties window I've given admin privileges and full control to all users, system and system apps to the Nightlighting exe
The DLL Milviz_Lighting_Guage in the panel folder has also been given Full Access to the same (All users & apps)

Thanks again for the assistance.

And the Milviz_Lighting_Service is still not showing up in the task manager processes list I take it.

Yes sir that is correct.

To reiterate: The Nightlighting exe works fine on this computer / on your DHC-2 / running in my FSX SE sim on a separate drive (K).

Doesn't this rule out my system and point to the interface between Prepar3D_v4_Academic_4.5.13.32097 and your Nightlighting app?

I am truly grateful for the amount of time you're spending searching for a resolve. In my view of the world; I call that outstanding customer service on your part.
Thanks!
