cleaner cockpit and model question

Post by HKnox » Mon Oct 09, 2017 7:25 pm

Let me first state that this is a real work of art and function. I had squeezed all of the appreciation and use out of the AF version I possible could.
I do have a couple of questions though: Is there going to be an alternate cockpit version offered showing less use? I noticed in the promotional photos a slightly blacker and higher contrast panel, which I personally would appreciate.

I also want to raise a question about the fuselage shape ahead of the cockpit where there is a slight dip at the cowling. This was also in the AF version, and after searching various photos of Corsairs, it seems to me that there is a perfectly straight line all along the top of the fuselage where it meets the cowling. Perhaps you could refer me to an example where this dip occurs. If not, please accept this slight criticism with the highest of praise for such a beautiful piece of work, one that I hold in the highest esteem of all my warbirds!

no alternate cockpit version was ever made... If you want one, we can supply the PSD's and you're free to do one as you wish...

There's no dip in the fuselage that I can see from a side view (fully orthogonal...)

I may have just accidentally sent this reply when I was trying to attach an image, so I will try to send the other images explaining my previous question about the fuselage shape and cockpit texture.

I see. This will not be “fixed”. Sorry.

Thanks for the quick response. I understand the difficulty in fixing this in the basic mesh.
Also, you had mentioned before about sending me the Photoshop files for the cockpit.
I don't know how to repaint these textures, but might take a stab at learning how.

Thanks again.

The files posted for the cockpit paint kit contained no layered photoshop files.
Am I missing something?
