KD431 - the most authentic surviving Corsair

Post by bartokwhite » Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:33 pm

Now that the MSFS FG-1D is released, would anyone please consider doing a repaint in the colours of KD431, the FG-1D (Corsair IV) in the UK Fleet Air Arm Museum. It's probably a unique survivor in that it's still in it's original paint. The Museum painstakingly removed a coat of post war blue to reveal the scheme it wore in 1945 (and indeed some layers which went back to its manufacture. Thanks.

This is the scheme it wore in preparation for service in the Far East. The colours it's in today reflect service in UK just after the War.
