Loud bang during climb

Post by qqwertzde » Sat Mar 30, 2019 1:17 pm

Hi,

sometimes I get a loud double-bang during climb with the Turbo Otter, often at higher altitudes (6000-10000'). It sounds a little bit like a metal cable breaking. The engine then shortly runs at reduced power, but returns back to normal operations within a few seconds. Can anyone explain to me what that noise might be?

Thanks,
Peter

Read the manual... You are breaking the engine. Keep it in the green

I have read the manual and kept it green. And if I broke the engine, it should stop working, right? The fact that the engine continues to operate is precisely why I asked my question here.

It will still operate but it will make banging noises.
