PC-6 does not accept activation after I installed it.
This morning I purchased the Milviz Pilatus PC-6.
After normally installing the aircraft showed up in the sim but it would not load. I got a message that said "Your activation is invalid or has reached it's limit, please contact support." I'm confused my activation code allowed me to install the aircraft and since it is less than a day old it cannot have reached it's limit.
I uninstalled the aircraft and reinstalled it after disabling the firewall and setting the account control to never notify.
Again, after selecting the aircraft which showed up in the startup screen I got the same message.
I have several Milviz aircraft and have never experienced a problem like this before.

Re: PC-6 does not accept activation after I installed it.
There have been several cases where a licence key has been rejected for a seemingly bizarre reason
- Sometimes typing the key in has worked where copying and pasting didn't
- Occasionally windows archive extractor corrupts the file - try using 7zip instead https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
- Sometimes a punctuation character or accented letter can cause a key rejection
- windows not being up to date can cause this issue
- most common of all is not running the installer as admin

1 - Uninstalled PC-6 using uninstall from the PC6 install program.
2 - Downloaded and install 7-Zip
3 - Turned off firewall
4 - Set Account Control to Never Notify
5 - Downloaded fresh PC-6 (I am down to only 4 downloads left and have never gotten this thing to run.)
6 - Verified License Key
7 - Unzipped using 7-Zip
8 - Ran installer...hand entered license key
9 - Started P3Dv4
10 - Selected PC6...MilViz_PC-6_Tundra 1 (The aircraft show up clearly in the aircraft selection window)
11 - Selected airport
12 - Clicked OK
13 - Got the Invalid Activation message
14 - Prepar3D.exe not responding
15 - Terminated program from Task Manager
I have over 100 aircraft installed. This is the first one I have had a problem with. I own several MilViz aircraft...T-38, F-86, Beaver, Otter and they all work fine.
We older guys (I am 86) started computers when we were past middle age. We are not as adept at troubleshooting as the younger flight simmers are.
I have no idea what version of Windows 10 I have. I assume it is up to date since I keep getting MS updates and all my other programs and addons run fine.
Something else is at work here and if it can't be fixed I expect a refund of my purchase. 40 dollars US is a lot of money for me to blow on something that doesn't work.
If you have other ideas I'll try them. But right now I am extremely disappointed.

Yes. I normally run all my installs as administrator.

One last thing - are you installing it within the P3D main folder?

I don't quite know what you mean by installing it from within the main P#D folder.
I download all my aircraft and scenery into a download folder on my C drive and then run the install files from there.
I checked the simobjects folder in P3D and the PC-6 is there and looks intact.
I started all over again from scratch this morning. I uninstalled the PC-6 and redownloaded it. Turned off the firewalls and set the accounts control to never. Ran the installer. Brought up the ZPC-6 in the aircraft window and then selected an airport. As soon as I pressed OK I got the Invalid Activation message and P3D hung up. I've only got 4 downloads left.

Re: PC-6 does not accept activation after I installed it.
it should be installed like so:
Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\MV_PC-6_Base
don't worry about the downloads
I have asked the devs to take a look at your issue.

That's exactly how it looks on my system. Lockheed Martin\P3Dv4\SimObjects\Airplanes\MV_PC-6_Base.
I have all of the Orbx sceneries. I noticed that of this morning MilViz is in the Orbx family. I can get the PC-6 directly through them. My thought is to repurchase it through Orbx and let them install it through Orbx Central. If I were to repurchase it through Orbx and get it installed and it works that way could I get a refund on my current purchase? Or should I just wait here until you guys find a solution?

Best to let us fix it. We do get occasional activation issues but they are rare.
We couldn't guarantee that you wouldn't have the same problem buying through ORBX.

Re: PC-6 does not accept activation after I installed it.
I just purchased the MilViz Turbo Otter through Orbx. It downloaded and installed automatically. I didn't have to disable the firewalls or mess with account control or enter any activation numbers. No effort on my part. And it runs perfectly.
I am tempted to try that with the PC-6 but will wait and see what you can come up with for a fix.

Re: PC-6 does not accept activation after I installed it.
There should be a file called MVPC6.ini in your main Prepar3D directory inside a Milviz sub-directory. Are you able to check if that file exists?

Yes. It's there. Lockheed Martin\P3Dv4\MilViz\mvpc6.ini
