Otter or Beaver?
So, we're having to decide....
DHC-2 or DHC-3.
Let me know.

I want both but an updated Beaver is really needed.

Tough choice, but I think I would go with the Beaver.

I'd go with the Otter, the "other company's" Beaver is old, but still pretty good. The poor old Otter (afaik) has never received the full payware treatment. And a Milviz Otter would be simply fantastic. That goes without saying...
And if you say Turbo-Otter... well... now you're really talking!

I'm partial to the Beaver, but the Otter would be great as well. Whichever you decide to go with, please make a wheeled and an amphibian version. There have been a lot of great GA aircraft released, but none of those have their amphibian counterparts. While the current Beaver on the market is usable, it does not have the interior cabin quality and exterior quality of current aircraft. Even when you add 4096 textures, it still has faults in the texture applications on the side that cause distortion. And there are distortions on the wing as well. Still one of my favorite aircraft to fly and I'd be happy with an updated one.

Voted for Beaver, but I don't care that much. Both alternatives are excellent.
Just something I'd like to see for either of them: a good selection of landing gear is important. Stuff like wheel/skis and floats to change between the seasons. Amphibs are apparently a bit more rare in the real world, but simmers like using them.
What I'd really love to see is toggle-able cargo (passengers would be cool too). Having stuff like supplies or rucksacks inside, but also the option of having a boat or canoe strapped to the struts on the floats. Does it get more iconic than the image of a DeHavilland float-plane with a canoe strapped to it? Preferably with the associated off-center drag if it's possible.
Cargo is a big part of what these aircraft are about, flying people and all kinds of stuff in and out of the bush. For me it adds a lot for immersion when I can actually transport things.
I realize this project is a long way off, but it's very exciting still.

The 'other outfit's' Beaver is a tarted up version of their FS9 model so a fresh version with your talent for detail would be most welcome.

I voted for the Beaver because it is time for an updated one but the Otter would be great because I cannot think of any premium Otter's for FSX available for purchase and this would be a nice addition for the simulator.

Re: Otter or Beaver?
I have voted for the Otter.
I have allready paid for a Beaver which is good enough and I still enjoy flying. It doesn't bother me that the wing doesn't look quite right, I can't see it from the cockpit anyway.
I won't be paying for another one no matter how good it is.

Re: Otter or Beaver?
I voted that you do the (turbo)Otter, because:
- There is a nice Aerosoft Beaver
- AS announced an Extended version this year
- I do not know of any good Otter for FSX/P3D
And please make it Amphibian too!

Like many others on this thread, I like both airplanes...but I voted for the Beaver. I recognize that Aerosoft is talking about doing an "Extended" version, but...nonetheless, I'd love to see a MilViz version. Also chose the Beaver because it would lend itself to many repaints.

I choose the Radial engine otter, both standard and pzl 1000hsp wheel and amphibian
