Milviz First Look, Baron 55 16 May, 2011

Now time for the unveiling of a new previously unannounced project which is the Baron 55. As you will see in the screens below the external is for the most part finished, and work has already begun on the VC. We have no definite timeline on things yet as they have just gotten started, but we anticipate out doing the 310R with this one. As always comments are welcome, and thanks for taking the time to look!

Cant wait for this. I have the 310 so I must have this as well.
Hope you have the same lighting as the 310.
Now that the technology is there, would it be too much to ask for the damage/maintenance modeling similar to that found on the recently released Diamond katana from Aerosoft? I know that this is asking a lot but I, and I am sure most of the purests in the market would pay Premium for a GA aircraft with the combination of your FDE, lighting and the Katanas engine damage modeling.

Perhaps I am partial but I did multi engine training on this type.

hmmm... an interesting idea... perhaps we could do something modular and apply it to the 310 too.... hmmmmm.....

I will ask....

Thanks for responding. Hope some serious consideration is given to this idea. If you are worried that there are not enough consumers out there to warrant the extra effort, and perhaps increased price; you might think of running some kind of question-ere / poll. I am confident the result would be positive.

Is not necessarily that we don't want to do it, but that we outsource the stuff we do not know. So it is a matter of having the money up front to invest in the research for the technologies. We learn new stuff everyday though, and are constantly pushing the envelope to try and make our/your dreams a reality in the simulator. Cause believe me we want to deliver add-ons that are as realistic as we can feasibly deliver.

It appears that some of us are getting tired of damage mode . Fun to begin with but tedious after awhile.

Guys , I came across this site where you can download the Baron 58 instruments. Freeware.

I wonder if you could take a look at it to see whether it would be suitable for your 55. It would be great if it was. Maybe chat to the author about some mods if need be.

LMAO  I always see that to my instructor...but it doesn't help me much...

I love damage in FS in keeps you sharp. Is she ready yet? Or has development halted on the Baron?

We always appreciate customers helping out. So, thanks for the reference. However, the beautiful thing about GA aircraft is that they tend to use common instruments.

And they become even more common after the owners end up refurbing and updating their instruments!

Cheers, and thanks again!

No, most definately has continued. But, other projects had the priority of support. The Baron project is making its way up the totem pole.

The most helpful thing we need is someone who owns a Baron to volunteer to help us out, someone who has daily access to a real-world Baron and who could answer very detailed technical questions as well as perhaps provide very detailed photos of small details, plus also maybe even help record digital sounds. I logged many hours in a Baron, but don't own one and no longer have access to the one I did fly since I moved to Portales and also purchased my Cessna 310R.

Cheers,

Ken

Well Kenn perhaps this is a lead. Take a look at the Orbx forum.
Here: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/ ... msearch__1
Pjc747 seems to have acces to a Baron.

I passed the information along. Certainly don't wish you to think we ignored your input.

Okay Ken thanks for the feedback. But did it lead to anything?
