T-38 ADV handling

Post by firebird33 » Sun Dec 13, 2015 12:05 am

Since I don't see another area for the ADV, I'll just bring it up here. The handling on the ADV is nonexistent. Shot off the runway and straight up after takeoff. Won't follow a flight plan or any a/p command, can't trim it out. Let go of the controls and it shoots straight up. Pretty much have to hold the stick full forward to even attempt to stay level. It's unflyable at this point. Any suggestions? Awesome plane, just wish she would fly normally.

There's no AP so it following a flight plan is not unexpected.

For the rest are you sure you're trimmed out?

Rudder trim is neutral, I keep rolling the nose trim down but it doesn't do anything. I rolled the trim wheel for nose down for at least 2 minutes with no result. No idea where aileron trim is.

Trim wheel?...In your setup assign the elevator trim up/down functions to buttons with slow rate (half bar). If you´re using a wheel for trimming probably the inputs are not correctly read.

Do a check with this setup on ground. You should see the horizontal tails moving up and down and the control stick (Virtual Cockpit) with them.

Well, I am considering Failures disabled as it was my first option too, but... :|

The stab moves sluggishly with the switch in OFF position, causing trimming times to lengthen considerably, at least on my system.

Was this problem ever solved? My T-38 ADV gets off the ground then suddenly the controls have no effect any more and it noses over slowly and dives into the ground.
while in the air I quickly go to the outside view and check the controls. all the flight control are moving correctly but it has no effect on the aircrafts motion through the air.
Has anyone had this issue? by the way the same thing happens both in FSX:SE and P3D v3.4. And it did work properly in the past.

I am back to flying the old version which works fine.
