F-15E HUD Brightness & Symbology Issues

Post by LiamH » Sun Nov 19, 2017 3:26 am

Hello,

I have recently purchased the F-15E from Simmarket for FSX on Windows 10 and I am overall pleased with it.

However I have two issues that are becoming an annoyance:

1. How to dim the HUD brightness as it is very bright yellow, this is unrealistic and I can't seem to dim it so please could you advise how to?

2. When I do a quick start of all systems and engines, on the HUD I get a vertical yellow line just under the watermark. This only disappears when I go into an attack mode I.e. AtoA / AtoG when I return to NAV mode the vertical line appears again.
How do I get it to disappear or better not be visible on the HUD?

Both the above issues are very annoying and distracts from the enjoyment of flying this aircraft.
Any advice would be appreciated.

1: It is actually a bright green. Back when we made this aircraft, we didn't have the tech to control brightness that we do now, or how to make it translucent like it should be so unfortunately there isn't much I can do.

2: This actually reflects reality. The bar is the bank flight director and can't be made to disappear in NAV mode as far as I recall.
