CTDs on save or startup
So far we havent had any CTDs except those for user configs etc that are entirely unrelated to my code. However there is one area where there is potential for a CTD. You need to run FSX as admin otherwise you will get a CTD every time you try to save a flight or even at startup. Startup creates a ini file which stores radio channel frequencies as well as the default cold and dark and no payload state. Saving a flight saves your fuel and payload state to this file and if you dont run as admin windows will try to stop you from writing to the FSX install path.

Re: CTDs on save or startup
Hi , i have the same issue but only in prepar3d and not in fsx. Only for information this issue does not affect save/load or startup , but only if the plane goes in a crash accident and/or exit a
prepar3d multiplayer session.
I will try to change default startup flight as roaburned say to me in a pvt mail and i'll let you know.
tks

Re: CTDs on save or startup
Sounds like internal sim troubles. I made certain that nothing gets deleted while it is still in use and nothing gets used until the pointers are created. The only risk is in the file streaming system when windows gets in the way.

Re: CTDs on save or startup
I do confirm that the issue is F86F restricted. Both single and Multiplayer mode. I will check simconnect log but i think it still DLL related. I will test it and i will inform you soon.JonathanBleeker wrote:Sounds like internal sim troubles. Re: CTDs on save or startup
Ok check completed.
The issue is DLL related and the DLL involved is the Milviz_f86.dll .
You have to take a look into this DLL to fix this problem.
Thank you.
