Flameouts
Hi guys
Just something tickling my mind based on another issue that bentwing pointed out...Do me a favor and monitor the individual fuel tanks from the FSX fuel menu. Not the ACM. The FSX Fuel menu. Let me know if the engine dies when a particular tank empties. I suspect a possible bug in the fuel transfer system.
The reason i ask is this. Flameouts only occur under the following conditions:
0/Negative G for more than 11 seconds
Engine screens down(switch in the forward position) and in icing conditions (less than 5 deg C and in cloud/very low visibility).
These continued reports dont seem to match up all the time with the code.
Thanks
JB

Re: Flameouts
If I jettison the outboard tanks while drawing fuel from them before they are empty, I get a flameout. (Corollary is, unless they are empty, I can't seem to get rid of them without a flameout.) Once they are empty and I'm drawing on the main cell, I can jettison them with no problem. Not identified in your original post. Is this expected behavior?

Re: Flameouts
probably as you are still drawing fuel from them. the system doesn't, afaik, allow for immediate transfer over...
