Prepar3d v4.2

Post by doodlebug » Tue Feb 13, 2018 3:15 pm

Installation of Prepar3d v4.2 may cause problems with some of our aircraft. We advise users to delay upgrading to v4.2 until we have completed our tests and updated our products.

We can now confirm that all our planes that worked in v4.1 will function in Prepar3d v4.2.
Non-ADV F-4 models will need to be updated to version vA1.180221 via the MVAMS utility.

Ok good; but what about the MD530 and B407 helicopters. Where are you in the tests ?

Hi,
I just downloaded and installed from MAVMS a latest F-4E/JS updatings, as suggested. Since I'm still flying with V4.1 and since P3D CTD, do I understand well that this last version is working in v 4.2 only - as usual -?
Thanks,
Fulvio

Yes. You need to update to v4.2

Thanks. Since VRS has updated its TacPack (and the Super Hornet) to v 4.2 too, the ACM and the armament manager should work properly.

The two Helo's are about to go into a public beta , they have had more than their share of revisions to bring them up to date with the latest MVAMS and V4.2. Compatibility assessments by the beta team have been fruitful chasing down issues , having a wider range of setups run the installers is the next step .

Should have them up for the weekend , Really !

Really? ;)

EDIT - fair play, didn't think you'd put it up on a Saturday. Good work, well done.

I see the 407 has been updated for p3d4.2, has the 530? I went to the milviz.com website and the 530 info doesn't indicate it is 4.2 compatible.

Thanks JB. I haven't previously purchased the 530F, so, that is why I didn't go to the Support Forum. I looked on the website for purchase, but, the info there indicates the for sale version is for P3DV3. I'll get it when the V4 version is released for purchase. Hopefully, soon.
