Post by Burner59 » Tue May 29, 2018 7:17 pm

Hi - just a quick question - has anyone tried to install and fly the now freeware Stuka in P3D v4.1/.2?
Thanks,
Jim

I tried it in P3D v4.1 and it didnt work on first attempt. Really didnt dig too deep.

Also tried the RedBull P-38...same experience on the one try.

You do know the Milviz P-38 comes standard with P3DV4, right?

The WW2 version, yes, but not with the modern cockpit.

I'm not surprised....most likely a 32-bit gauge issue, on both planes....too bad, as there's no Stuka for v4....Milviz, are you listening?!

we hear you.

Not much we can do though as it would require some significant work to do.

Sorry.

Hi,

It flies in P3D v4.5 but I don´t see the pilot 3D figure. Overall I would say it works fine (I never tried in earlier versions to be able to detect failures).

When you install it, as P3Dv4 is not detected, installer will extract files to a temp directory. In my case it was in F:\temp0. Just copy the content to Effects, Gauges and Airplanes. Don´t overwrite files as the ones already installed would be most likely newer than the ones in the Stuka. Alternatively you can use 7-Zip to unpack the exe directly.

Autostart is not working completely, and fuel pumps are not switched on, so a periodic engine start sound will be heard. Just do a cold and dark manual start instead or check that all systems are on after the autostart.

It´s a nice model and an iconic plane.

Cheers
