Cockpit lighting in P3Dv2

Post by Slayer » Mon Dec 22, 2014 1:56 am

Most of the night lighting doesn't appear to work.

If I adjust the brightness knob the only instruments that get brighter are the display on the clock and the backlighting on the garmin GPS, the overhead light turns on but doesn't illuminate anything. No cabin lights and no backlighting on the other instruments. In the screnshots for the product the instruments are lit up nicely but Even when I push the test button for the warning panel those lights are very dim as well. I tried disabling mipmap for the VC in P3D options but there was no improvement.

There was no option for the night lighting as shown in in the PDF during the install. I'm assuming its because DX11 is required to run P3D anyways....

Edit: Windows 7 x64, Nvidia Titan GPU, latest version of P3D, UAC is off and P3D isn't installed into program files, it's on a separate drive. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 2x
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I sent an email to roadburner and he said to register here but I already had an act.

UAC is the likely culprit.

I have been reading reports from other developers that "night lighting" is broken in P3Dv2.5...

If not UAC or v2.5....Are you running P3D as admin? Ill double check whether our new method of circumventing the anti virus false positives was put out for our customers for the 407. It was done for the MD 530. If you have that one do you have problems with the lighting on it?

I'm running v2.5 without "hot fix". No antiviruses, P3D is running as admin

Also may be it worth mentioning the only area where cockpit lightning works is GPS area. Everything else is dark.

When you run the aircraft is there a dll for the 407 in the processes dialog? (Ctrl, alt, delete).
