MV 407 SP5 (yes, FIVE) P3D V2 and FSX Released

Post by Krazycolin » Thu May 22, 2014 12:29 am

Hi all,

if you have not received an email from us with info on SP5 (just released now), please contact me soonest.

Some emails are bouncing back (probably spam filters)... I will try and deal with those on Friday (busy tmrw)

F1 customers: please wait till tmrw before attempting a download

Simmarket customers: please wait till advised by them that it's ready.

Note: Kat accidentaly sent out the F1 and Simmarket customers the download link for the V2 version. That file has been renamed so as not to cause anyone too much temptation... :)

Thanks for your patience.

A word of warning: Due to the pressing need of the coder for this project to be on another, we will not be doing any fixes on this product for at least a month. Whilst I apologize for this, we need to make money to survive. However, we will continue to provide support as well as doing what fixes are needed after the release of the new product.

Colin,

I got the e-mail download, but the link is not working.

I get the following message

404 - File or directory not found.

The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Hi

Unfortunately the same here, the P3D version works just fine as do the add-on links, but hey these things happen.

Thank you for the first class support

Yes. FSX Only.

I exchanged e-mails with Kat. Link has been fixed.

Thanks for the update.
But am i the only one who still has these annoying random FADEC alarms? During startup, during liftoff and touch down, and specially when shutting down the machine...
Is there something i can do? my girlfriend is getting crazy with this sound... (and me unfortunately too)

Cheers

They're not Fadec. They're RPM. and when your RPM is below a certain amount... it goes off. This is normal (apparently).

You may lower the sound level on the file yourself...

We are going to lower them in the next SP but that will be several weeks to a couple of months away.

I'm really glad SP 5 is out. :D All bugs have been fixed. Congratulations, this is a really professional job! Especially thank you for your patience, your work and support!
I think I can safely say the among all the FSX helicopter add-ons, the Milviz Bell 407 is the best.

Again, thank you very much!

I get the same RPM alarm, usually during the first time I pull up the collective to lift off. On subsequent use of the collective to lift off I get no alarm. I've been flying with weather off (calm conditions, no wind) and still get the alarm.

Still have no working landing light. The switch on the collective moves back and forth but the light doesn't come on.

The RPM warning has nothing to do with the weather.

It works the way it works... (really)

For the landing light... it will have to wait till later.

Sorry.

Hi Collin,

Thanks for the update. Is there a list of changes/fixes somewhere that I might have overlooked?

Kind regards,
Eric

You didn't overlook it becasue it doesn't exist...

yet.

When I have time, I will make it. But, right now... no time.

I can list the major ones...

Rotor Blur, Boom tail lights, bendy legs, GPS/GNS functionality, starting errors, FADEC errors, Nav/Col light switch fix, OOM's fixed.

The others are small fry.

Pidder

You will be banned IMMEDIATELY the next time you post links to products anywhere except in an email to the person who sent them to you.

Try them and you will see which works and which doesn't.

You are warned.

Good morning, Colin.

Yesterday I finally downloaded SP5 and the latest addon pack, and did a complete reinstall. All seemed well with my one test flight.

This morning (around 6:31 am here Pacific Time) I just received two more e-mails on SP5, the latest for SP51. The content of the e-mails are worded the same as yesterdays, so there is some confusion on my part. Is there now going to be another update to the addon package?

Because of the addon pack and additional repaints I have, the process I follow for install the SP involves several steps included a complete uninstall and preservation of all my textures and profiles. So are there any shortcuts to installing the SPs other than a complete reinstall?

Thanks
