New 350 WIPs
Hi all,
I have created this thread for only brand new WIP's of what we're working on in terms of the KA 350i...
So to start, here's a pic of where we're at with the PL-21 PFD. Comments and crits are welcome.

Looks awesome! I was actually glad about the delay, it's great to see a good product being the priority.

Besides some text being in the incorrect colours, it seems good.

Really? what text and what colors? (seeing as we're following actual videos not sure how it could be wrong...but...all ears)

I think he's comparing the picture posted above which shows the "FMS" text in green instead of olive, and the bottom text for the radios looks to be a darker green. However, I think your green looks closer to what is shown in "official" pictures by Collings as the picture posted above has some serious overexposure issues from being taken in bright sunlight.

Re: New King Air 350i WIPs
Well, to my understanding, the yellow color is correct: from my readings on the pl21 the FMS text on the pfd is green or yellow depending on the nav source (as does the hsi pointer, in a matching color).
Green for left nav source, yellow for the right one.
In normal mode the left pfd will display green text, the first officer's one will display yellow text.
In reversion mode the left pfd will display yellow colors as it takes its nav source from the right...
Well hope this makes sense

Thank you for the information but how do you know which pfd we're doing?

The colors are correct. The only thing I can assume is that different installations have different software as seen in the pics posted, as it looks like a jet cockpit.

Re: New King Air 350i WIPs
Hi Colin,
Sorry for the delay, I was travelling...
Your question made me read the docs again and I realized my statements were not fully correct.
I am not a real world pilot, so just enjoying some deep dives into systems docs, and had taken a shortcut here...
The color of the nav info depends on the nav source, that's right. But it's color is green if the source is on the same side (e.g. fms1 or nav1 for the pilot, fms2 or nav2 for the f.o.). It is yellow if the other side is selected (e.g. nav2 for the pilot)
Your pic shows a Fms source without indication if its is fms1 or fms2, so my understanding is: this is the copilot side display for a single fms equipped plane. In this configuration the left side fms info will always be displayed in green, the right side pfd in yellow. There is no reversion possible as it's a single fms...
Sorry for my lack of precision in my previous post, and thanks for the question, it created some interest on these systems again
