Dual FMS?

I'm loving the KA350i and have been enjoying learning the PL21. Very glad to see a faithful-as-can-be representation. I was wondering though, why Milviz didn't go with a dual, independent FMS. Many of the real world 350's I see on youtube have a dual FMS. Would it be too resource heavy? The PMDG 747 has a triple setup and doesn't seem to affect performance. Not a criticism at all...just curious

I have enough on my hands with the one unit
Would be nice if failure of the one device is implemented

I was thinking in terms of having one for the nav implementation and one for tuning...just a thought

Generally, aircraft with 2 FMS do not have the RTU. MV made the creative decision to go with 1 unit and an RTU. Only the aircraft that operate in remote areas (class II airspace) need 2 FMS.

All the military based KAs I've flown utilize the dual FMS set up, however for the 350i modeled by MV it is not required nor does it take away from the KA experience. It takes all of 2 seconds to change tuning, get a new squawk from ATC, type into the scratchpad and then go from LEGS to TUNE.
