Tried installing into a Win 10 v2004 P3Dv5hf2 setup
All installed OK but plane frozen
Exterior view OK
Cockpit view -blank avionics -nothing works
Mostly blank black pop ups also with shift+123456 etc
A voice telling me Autostart not available

This plane is a complex addon for which you have to learn to start it up. Autostart is not an option.

Manuals not much good if the installation is as dead as a dodo which it is unfortunately
Was such a fine plane to fly
Must be a problem with my particular set up as other people seem to make it work
Not having much luck with my Milviz planes-will they ever fly again inP3D?

Do you have your P3D in a location different than the default? Did you receive any errors when installing? Can you try to uninstall then install again?

Don’t understand your remark re default position of P3D
Received no error messages on instal-it appears to be about to run properly for a second or two then freezes
Uninstalled and reinstalled many times

If nothing is working it is likely an XMLtools issue. Are you using the latest 1.1.40 beta from this forum?

Run installer as admin? P3Dv5 excluded from antivirus scans etc? How much memory on your GPU?

Antivirus switched off-might try exclusion
New computer with all the latest bells and whistles
Plane appears just about to roar into life -then freezes-it’s almost there!
Downloaded many Milviz planes over the years with no problems

I have a Palit GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with 11GB of memory available
64 GB DDR4 3000mhz installed
I7-8700K Coffee Lake CPU 6 cores 3.7-4.7 GHz
Latest Nvidia driver installed
Perhaps the next incarnation of the KA 350i will do it for me!

Very strange you have a lot of Vram shouldn't be an OOM situation unless every setting is maxed out. My only other suggestion is to look in windows event viewer and see if there is anything related to the P3D crash there. Should there be I can have one of the developers take a look at the crash logs to see where the issue lies.

Not sure what to look for in the Viewer
Is there a particular heading I should look under
Overview,Summary of Administrative Events,Recntly viewed Nodes or Log Summary?

in the highlighted area. If a Preprar3D crash is logged it would be in here. There can be some information related to the crash like a faulting module and an offset and a crash log.

Sometimes P3D will crash to desktop and there will be no record of it.

It is all getting beyond an amateur like me
This plane up till the latest incarnation loaded and did the business for me
I shall wait patiently for the next update and as I am missing all my Milvz plane in v5 -it is a situation that I have unfortunately got used to
Tough being a developer with a rapidly changing base sim
I have already decided to stick on v5 hf2 for some while-WX Radar is working well
I want to be a simmer not a developer!
