Question: How to turn off engine damage
While nice to simulate I find the current incarnation does not track well to real world and I end up with significant damage after every flight. I don't believe it is due to my airmanship and if it is all the more reason to disable it.

Re: Question: How to turn off engine damage
There is not a way to turn it off. I believe one user had success resetting the damage then setting the config file to read only. Other than that you can just open MVAMS and reset the engine states before each flight.
Getting used to not damaging the engines isn't real hard.
1) Don't firewall the throttles
2) Watch EGT on startup and follow normal startup procedures so you don't get hot starts( introduce fuel at 22 or 23% N1?)
3) Watch your engines so you don't redline them
4) Proper use of condition levers. In most cases you don't need full forward.

Re: Question: How to turn off engine damage
Thanks Slayer. I pretty much do all four things now. I can start MVAMS each flight and address but...
I think my original premise is more accurate. The code while a nice extra is not quite robust enough to simulate engine wear, at least that is my take and why I think the next update should at the least include a switch for engine wear on/off like most sim developers do. Realair comes immediately to mind
Thanks again
