Cockpit lights?
Seems like I have a problem with cockpit light. Seems like texture changing some color little bit but gauges are not illuminated except DME window, Kollsman window and few red light indicator.
Anyone else has similar problem? I'm running P3D 3.4 minus latest hot fix

Running as admin? As in right click on prepar3d.exe, select properties->Compatibility->Run this program as administrator?

Re: Cockpit lights?
Of course I do because I have cockpit light in every single 3rd party aircraft except Milviz HueyJonathanBleeker wrote:Running as admin? As in right click on prepar3d.exe, select properties->Compatibility->Run this program as administrator?

Re: Cockpit lights?
It's a bit strange because I had similar problem with 407 which was corrected later.
P.S. I'm using GTX 1080 with latest drivers

yeah , Johnathan,
I notice the same issue here. It happens only sometimes sporatic with each flight. One session it will work, the next it will not. P3D is in admin mode of course.

When you say "sometimes" Are you starting the sim session from zero or are you changing planes?

Re: Cockpit lights?
from Zero sessions. most notable on night flights. you can turn all 6 dials and no illumination.
Update:
Okay, I just re- tested. it seem when you add the GPS radios in . it kills the interior lights. I use the Milviz GNS 430/530 combo on the default H ships. however the one with no GPS installed the interior lighting works. FYI.

Re: Cockpit lights?
Check the panel.mv530_430 folder's panel.cfg file to make sure the lighting control entries are present...
It should have numerous entries similar to this one:
gauge00=..\panel\Milviz_Lighting_Gauge!lightcontroller, 0,0,1024,1024,0

Yes that entry is in the config.
okay I think I see the problem. The entry on the panel.mv540_430 looks like this : gauge00=Milviz_Lighting_Gauge!lightcontroller, 0,0,1024,1024,0
and not like the one posted by N4GIX. I test the other and report back with the missing ..\panel\
Update, That Fixed it, YAY

Re: Cockpit lights?
I had a hunch that might have been the problem. You see, the gauges are all in the ..\panel folder, and unless the panel.cfg file for the other optional panels has the redirect alias ..\panel\ the sim won't know where the gauge is located.FireRx wrote:N4GIX wrote: and not like the one posted by N4GIX.
