I trust your VC resolution is not set to low?

I have seen elsewhere in the forum where disabling the DX 10 Fixer resolved the lighting issue , there seems a decided incompatibility with that particular piece of work by Steve , try turning it off and get back to us .

He isn't using the fixer itself

Does the Milviz Lighting Service close if you switch from one aircraft to another without shutting down the sim?

If your panel lights do not work, your system does not have the "D3DCompiler_43".
Download this dll on the Microsoft website and copy it to C: \ Windows \ System32 AND also in ... C: \ Windows \ SysWOW64 (for windows 7)

I hope this will help you.

Still scratching my head on this one. A repeat of my last question:

Just saw your last post, JB. Do you mean switching to another Milvis beaver model, or a completely different aircraft? I'll check next time I have time to fly. Haven't been flying for a few days.

Milviz Lighting service does indeed close when switching to another aircraft. It returns when I return to the Milviz DHC2

Ok so it is definitely receiving commands from the simulator. So now the question is whether it is successfully connecting to the simulator. Do you have Skype? I think I need to do a bit of a personal call on this one so you can screenshare.

JB

I do not use Skype. I really appreciate your desire to help me with this minor problem, but it is not really a big deal for me. I am truly enjoying the Beaver in spite of the small problems and am willing to overlook them as they are most likely due to video issues. A couple of examples:

-My weather radar worked in the base model before the latest update and did not after the update. I swapped the MV_wx.dll back to the original and it worked. When I use the STOL model the weather radar does not work properly.
-The Nav1 equipment works well in all respects except the display instrument bar does not indicate deviation away from the set course and the GS bar lags a lot and is only useful when within 2 or 3 degrees from dead on
- panel and cabin Lighting is a total no go.

I use an Nvidia GTX 295 card which may not be DX11 compatible. So it seems to me that it is not worth fiddling with this anymore since it is such a minor detriment to my enjoyment of flying it. I know the problems probably frustrate you, as you, like me, don't like mysteries with software. I'm ready to throw in the towel at this point and just FLY.

Thanks so much for your interest and efforts. I truly appreciate them

Have a great day, my friend!

I am having the same issues with mine on Windows 10 P3D V4. My guage lights used to work but I think after the update is when it stopped. I also have a abnormality with the cockpit light only brightly changing the textures on the nav radios and the map light does not work if it is supposed to. Lastly I have an engine sound issue it coughs and pops every few seconds with a puff of smoke from the pipe. I have uninstalled and installed with no change. I have never had FSX or any prior versions of P3D. This is a new machine as of a month ago and no other Beavers installed and no sound packs or add on guage packages. I do not know if any of the fixes listed above will work in P3D V4 looks like they are specific to FSX?

I have the MILVIZ lighting service folder but it gives me an error when I click on it that it can not find whatever DLL file. Not sure where this went or why it has not been replaced with multiple install attempts. I have the VS2015 current and W10 P3D V4

Ok. First off, read the manual for the popping. It’s normal because you’re not putting plane into the correct settings.

For the lighting, please disable your antivirus, download and install the update and do remember to make sure that your sim directory is not on the scan list.
