MV_WX.dll incompatible message

Ok time for a little deeper digging. Please unzip this into your beaver panel folders. Let me know if you get an error message on startup and please post a screenshot of it.

I put this MV_WX.dll in the panel folder as you suggested. I already had a 1.11.40 version in there that you had sent previously, so I overwrote that one. Startup did not give any error message, just the usual message about trusting this dll. Unfortunately, there is no change in the behavior of the weather radar. The knobs work and it will go through the test routine, but when the selector is turned to weather radar the screen remains black except for the range gridlines. The tilt function does not return any echoes, ground or otherwise.

No error messages, but no improvement. Weather radar knobs still seem to function and the test routine is normal, but I never get any rain echoes on the ground or in the air. Today's test was in heavy thunderstorms.

Other information: I always run FSX as administrator and I do have the redistributable files listed as required.

Ok lets rule out 2 things here. Please copy it into every single one of your beaver panel folders.

Secondly, when you start FSX, before selecting the beaver, start at KLAX with the major thunderstorms weather theme enabled. Then load the beaver and see if it works.

Copied the MV_WX.dll into the remaining Milviz Beaver panel folders. Loaded the default Cessna at LAX with major thunderstorm theme. Switched to Beaver. Weather radar same as before - test OK, no rain echoes. The only difference now is that the FSX drop down menu now has 2 entries for Radar Weather.

After closing FSX, I checked all panel folders to see if that dll file was duplicated in any of them, but only saw it once in each folder.

By the way, LAX is a huge framerate hit on my system and loads very slowly. Perhaps the next test I could load at a less demanding airport?

The next question is do you have a MV_WX.dll in your gauges folder?

Yes. there is a version 1.11.40 that you had sent earlier. The quote below (from post #8 in this thread) is from when I tried it.

FWIW while I was waiting for your response, I tried putting a copy of the MV_WX.dll you sent in the gauges folder as well to see if this made the weather radar work. Unfortunately, I still get no radar images.

Try deleting that one and see if it works.

Deleting the MV_WX.dll from gauges has no effect other than removing the duplicate radar weather entries I had in the drop down menu. The weather radar still goes through the test routine, but returns no rain echoes on the ground or in the air even right in front of a rain cloud. Tilt control changes the tilt numbers in the display, but still no echoes.
