Instrument lights not working

I am using FSXa and I have read the previous lighting thread very carefully and have verified that I have exactly the same problem, just not in P3dD,and have found no solution. The "Estonia" solution obviously does not apply to my situation.
Instrument and map lights do not work!
1. xml tools entry is in the FSX root
2. product was installed with AV disabled as well as UAC
3. read the instruction manual
4. all exterior lights work as expected
5. Cabin light works
6. stumped at this point
7. btw, love this magnificent aircraft. I already have over 100 hours. The latest update and the addition package are wonderful to fly.
Looking for any suggestions on how to get the instrument lights to work. I have tried all the suggestions offered in previous thread that apply to FSX. HELP! Appreciate any I can get. (Not a newbie, BTW, have been simming for 30 years, but still capable of making dumb mistakes) Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Hi JP , a couple of questions, do you see a milviz_lighting_gauge.dll in the base versions panel folder? , is the problem only in the addons or all of them.

Hi CJ,
The milviz_lighting_gauge.dll does indeed exist in the base panel folder and all the others are aliased to that folder. Nice try though. I appreciate it

One other question , do the lights work IN the base version basic bendix or in no version whatsoever ?

Krazycolin and CJ
Thanks for the suggestions.
I ran the sim as administrator. I also ran it with no GPS configuration with cold and dark selected. No instrument lighting. I also checked the Windows Task Manager and the Milvis lighting process was indeed running.
I have tried reinstalling with av disabled and a fresh download several times after erasing the Beaver with the Milvis MVAMS. No joy
I'm stumped at this point. I guess it's not a big deal since I don't do very much low and slow night flying. ( I'll use a flashlight to see the gauges, LOL)
Thanks again for trying to help. I appreciate it!

A last kick at the can , please replace the panel folder in the base version with the one contained here , FSXA only .
Let me know if that rectifies the issue

Thank you CJ. I tried the offered Panel file with, apparently a different .dll file, but still no instrument lights. It did somehow cause my Weather radar to stop scanning??? so I switched back to the original.
A valiant try on your part and I appreciate it. Many have tried to solve this problem and I thank all of you.
At this point it seems that there is something different about my system that is interfering. My system is quite large and has hundreds of addons over the many years of flight simming. I seldom have unsolvable problems, but not having instrument lights on one aircraft is one I can live with. My guess would be a shader problem as I like to run DX10 mode. I'm not going to pursue it further.
I am grateful to belong to a community of folks who always try to help each other. If the rest of our society were as willing to help one another we would have a more peaceful world IMO.
Thanks very much, and happy flying!

Is there a Milviz_Lighting_Service in your task manager processes list?

It does disappear after shutting down the sim?

JB:
The Milviz lighting process is removed during shutdown of the sim.

Ok technically it shouldn't depend on DX mode since it is DX11 and independent of FSX's mode, but what happens if you switch from DX10 to DX9?

A question , is Steves DX10 Scenery Fixer installed in your sim by any chance ?
I am again intrigued though to see the WX.dll in the folder I sent didn't work as its the latest FSXA version.

I do have some of the earlier individual DX10 fixes that Steve put out, but I never installed the DX10 payware fixer since the earlier fixers solved the problems I was trying to address. The payware one was not available for quite a long time and I understand it is now. I never bought it because I was not sure how it would affect the early fixes that I had applied. I'll peruse the DX10 forum file and try to bring myself up to date on the fixer. It's been a long time. Maybe there is some info on how to deal with fixes that were installed prior to the payware version.
Switching to DX9 did nothing for the instrument lights , but it did remind me why I switched to DX10 years ago. LOL!
