Unable to disengage parking brake
Problems are back with the extension pack for the Beaver.
Totally unable to disengage the parking brake
I'm with P3dv4.1 and any advise is strongly welcome!
The only way to use this plane is F4 in slew mode then release the slew.... not very realist, isn't it?
Dani.

Hi Dani,
Can you see the parking brake handle in the cockpit move?
Is this the only strange behaviour?

Re: Unable to disengage parking brake
Yes I can see it moving a bit and the plane seems to move slightly too but she stay on place.
The most strange thing is that the speed increase and finally I'm able to T/O....... but on place !!!!!
I can fly, turn climb and even descend BUT ON PLACE! The plane doen't move in the landscape !
I even can see the wheels turning but I stay over the runway
But since today, the brakes have released three times ! Maybe.....

Re: Unable to disengage parking brake
A very strange observation:
There is a single texture (AEROTAXI downloaded) without the parking brake problem !!!
All the other DHC2 are not available normaly.
I don't understand what happen!

Re: Unable to disengage parking brake
The problem is unique and isolated to your computer , with the last comment on one paint version working I suspect there is corruption of the installed files , a controller assignment or automation addon in effect such as accusim .
The first thing I would suggest is backing up the Aircraft.cfg and installing the latest version again , Do Not Uninstall so the additional paint folders remain intact .
Disable Accusim if used .
Run the base aircraft without any modifications whatsoever and assess the Parking Brake . If its working normally there and not the expansion pack there is some corruption of the CFG or its related to Accusim .

Thank you for answering,
sorry but I'm not sure how to proceed to disable Accusim
Indeed, I own several products of A2A so....

Accufeel, not Accusim. Should be able to disable it from the Addons menu.

There is not Accufeel in/for P3D v4.1, so I haven't it.

Can you confirm that you have followed Chuck's first suggestion of reinstalling and checking with the base aircraft?

Re: Unable to disengage parking brake
Since it seems to be particular to your set up, could you list your other addons, extensions, hardware, etc, so we can try to work out which one is potentially causing the problem.

Re: Unable to disengage parking brake
Hello,
I have an I7 2600k with a 1080GTX, CH product yoke and pedals.
Addons is mainly ORBX, 29palms, turbulent sceneries, with some A2A planes, Alabeo, carenado and Milviz Talon, F4, P38 planes, Some Cera choppers.
REX4 and Soft clouds + PTA all in P3D4.1 environement.
All is working well but Dhc2 beaver doesn't
Only two problems with this bird:
- no working radar
- Unable "to release parking brake" as explained above... the stay on place like a kite even with indicated speed increasing and able to T/O and fly..... but on place ( even the wheels are turning !!! )

Re: Unable to disengage parking brake
I cant say where the problem lies , pedals , software or gauges but a solution follows
You can turn the pb off in the aircraft.cfg by pasting the following in where parking_brake=0 replaces parking_brake=1
[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale=0.5
parking_brake=0
differential_braking_scale = 0.5
