Only the standart Beaver goes right with the GTN750

Hallo,
I have P3D 4.1 and the Beaver. Fly most the standart Beaver-Version with the GTN 750. In the GTN-config have set to core 1 and it worked all ok. Can go to GTN 750 2D-popup and back to VC. Can go to the menu in P3d and back to GTN.
But with all Version of the beaver float , ski, tundra the 2D-popup freeze when I go to menu of P3D and than back , than swich the GTN 750 2D-popup window, the 2D freeze and an in the VC GTN goes not black. Only in VC is GTN working right.
Now , I have buy´d the beaver but can only fly with the standart Beaver-Version without trouble. Thats frustraded for me.

When you shut down the simulator, is there still a GTN Trainer process in the task manager processes list?

Hallo,
there is no process when I shut down the sim. But I have found when the 2D-popup freeze and I go with the mousepointer to the right side of the window ( mousepointer must become a double-arrow), and than I clicked left mousebottom the freeze window goes back to normal and the VC-GTN goes black. Now I can change normal between VC-3D and 2D-popup and it works right. But everytime when I go in the P3d menu the 2D-popup freeze again. With the mousecklick-trick rightside I can it set normal again.
'This is only in the other 3 Variants of the beaver. 'The standart "Wheel-Baever" works always fine. Why only in the wheel-version?

Oh wait, try copying the F1 GTN from the standard version's aircraft folder to the other beaver folders.

Hallo, have Milviz now found the reason for the popup-freezing in the other Beaver-Versions? Only the Wheel-Standart Beaver is working right with the pupup-Window. Reinstall does not help. Copying the F1GTN.ini file to the other Beaver-Versions doesn`t help. I hope Milviz can fix this problem.

I have done a new install win7 + p3d v.3 , all addons and the beaver2. But is is the same as before. The standart-beaver goes well. The other version´s freeze as I wrote above (GTN 750 complete).

Hello , I would run the F1 Configuration tool 0n the base DHC2 in order to set the specified GTN 750's updated version . the aircrafts panel was done prior to the release of the complete edition from F1 and may contain revised parameters .

All addon versions alias the base models folder structures and any corrections/modifications need to be addressed there , in this case using the F1 configuration tool .

Only the standart Beaver works correctly with the GTN 750. I hope this can be fixed.

I may have fixed this issue although I need to do more testing to be sure. I found one thing wrong in the Aircraft.cfg file. In each varients list the "Panel=" entry had GNS 750 after it. I ran the MilVis MVAMs utility again, selected GTN 650/750, and that changed the entries in the aircraft.cfg file of all the varients to the correct "Panel = GTN750_650" that it should be. Originally, I had only selected the GTN 750 with WX Radar so the utility may not be configured right. I also deselected the WX Radar in my working setup as I don't use it where I fly (<2000").

I'm in the habit of saving my flights parked, cold and dark. I do this because I have a 3 monitor setup (One large monitor for the pilot outside view, and tw monitors for the instrument panel). Saving the flight saves this configuration.

The key to this next part is:

1. Start from a saved file with a DHC-2 Beaver varient that has the GTN 750 working correctly in both the 3d instrument panel and also in the 2d panel when its popped out with Shift 3 (or 4).

2. Switch to one of the other varients. Turn on the battery and avionics switch and let the GTN 750/650 go through startup. Open up a 2d window of each (shift 3 or 4). It should work correctly. Shut off the avionics and battery switches. Close any 2D Windows. Save this flight under a new title that ID's the varient used.

It worked for me. If you don't have a saved flight from varient that works, spawn a new one from Free Flight and that should work.

My fix really doesn’t work. I thought it did but any pop up wind always freezes. I did come up with a workaround though. Are use a camera program for my views called Chase plane. So what I do, is make a specific camera view of the GTN 750 installed in the panel. I assign that to a specific button, and zoom in on it with that button when I need to enter data. That should work for my misty flying club flying in Alaska.
