I also changed the NWS button to one that is easier to hold down and that works now.

What controller did it say the axis commands were tied to?

I'm not sure what you mean?
But I had the range and azimuth mapped to this sort of hat switch on the Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle(centre button in picture):

So it was completely separate to rudder pedals. I remember I was fiddling in the settings a lot because the range axis was inverted and would not change.
Cheers,
Peter

This is a better picture(the control that is labelled 'slew control + push').

I know about that control, I was asking if the name of the device might have shown up differently in the AMS than what you were aiming to attach due to possible noise on your rudder pedal brakes.

Will have an update out soon that should fix the inversion problem.

I remapped some of my controls, and I still can't seem to get the TGT inserted for offset bombing.
I know there will be a video submitted explaining, but I see no visual indication in the WSO seat that cursor freeze is functioning or doing anything.

Confirm you are in beacon mode on the radar, cursor positioned on a beacon before you press Cursor Freeze, and that you only press TGT insert if Cursor freeze light is lit? You have keys/buttons mapped to those commands I take it.

I have the radar in BEACON mode, display PPI narrow/wide. I find the beacon(the four squiggly lines), I then press cursor freeze. I can't see any light in the WSO pit(where would it be if it did illuminate?), and so when I press tgt insert nothing happens. HSI is on ATT.
Controls are mapped yes.

Cursor Freeze and Target Insert are 2 square lit buttons to the right of the cursor joystick on the right console in the rear pit. Oh and make sure your bombing mode in the front pit is set to OFF SET or TGT FIND.
