Prepar3D V4.4

Post by Avidean » Tue Dec 04, 2018 11:35 am

I am just getting back into Prepar3D and have a fresh install of Windows 10.

I see on the product pages for my Milviz birds that under supported
platforms they are all Prepar3D V4.3.29.XXX

Is it OK to install in V4.4 or should I hold off?

If you have birds with WX radar, this may cause problems, but you could temporarily disable it in panel.cfg.

You also need to change this entry in dll.xml in the folder

C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

...

Code: Select all

 <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>WXAdvantage</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <Path>Modules\MV_WXM.dll</Path>
    <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
    <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>
Change the disabled entry to TRUE or just delete the whole LaunchAddon.

tried loading the pa-30 in p3dv4.4 and p3d ctd, so milviz birds will be upgraded to run in p3dv4.4 at some time right? so just dont try to use them till they are upgraded to work in v4.4 right?

No, not quite. Don't use the Milviz birds with the Wx Radar installed. My 310R Redux runs fine without the Wx Radar.

That might have helped but it appears that I am not allowed to read that forum!

If you own the plane, you have to request access to the official Support Forum for that aircraft. Send proof of purchase to info@milviz.com

Until the WX is updated, if you choose the version with it in, the 310 will crash.

Hmm, I took care of all of that last year. Find it difficult to believe that I left out the the 737-200 since its my number 1 top favorite Milviz Aircraft. Anyway, When I have a minute I'll do it again :-)
