something bad happened here
I upgraded to the 4.5.14.34698
and then installed the wrong SDK and it FIAU.....I'm pretty sure foul language isn't allowed here so you'll just have to figure that one out.....
I'm going to have to do a reinstall
In all of the trying to figure out what was wrong I accidently deleted my FSUIPC ini file, the one with all my profiles in it
This has been a relatively buggy install of windows so I'm going to reinstall windows as well....it's been about a year, and I reinstall windows annually weather it needs it or not.....
I will be back in a couple days with a valid FSUIPC ini
Thanks
Rick
P.S.
got it back I will be posting that ini soon

Here is where the issue lies. These should be using the TO SIM method, not DIRECT (Check your FSUIPC manual for how those work)

The question is whether that profile is actually running on FSUIPC vs reverting to the general settings which are still DIRECT I see.

It's running on FSUIPC the controlers are disabled in game
when P3d starts it loads the ini file from FSUIPC when you select the aircraft your going to fly FSUIPC sees that and loads the profile for that aircraft, if there is one, if not it keeps the default settings in the main ini.
I use useprofiles=files in my ini so I have a folder in my modules folder created by FSUIPC called profiles
it keeps your profiles in separate files it's much easier to manually edit them if you have to.....or want to.....
I've tried it 3 ways now and no joy
1. with FSUIPC set to direct to FSUIPC
2. with FSUIPC set to same as FS controls
3. with FSUIPC inactive and the controllers turned on in game
It seems to lock the plane in pitch and heading until you turn on alt hold then it stays pretty much strait and level, but locked the stick has no effect
Does it matter if there are settings in MAVMS as well as FSUIPC?
I'm thinking that I might try raw input.....I've never had much luck with that.....
Thanks
Rick

Raw Input definitely isn't the way to go.

As for using the default settings, my question is you have 2 settings in that FSUIPC.ini, one using TO SIM, and one using DIRECT. The question is, which one is being used as default and thus applied to your F-4 setup?

Secondly, one other verification: Does the VC stick animation move when you move your stick?

sry I didn't get back to you sooner.....that real life thing.....
the profile supersedes the default it doesn't use both just the F-4 profile
yes the stick moves in sim

I'm at a bit of a loss here. Please post a screen shot of your MVAMS showing the CSS deadzone/sensitivity sliders.

Ok I realize in hindsight this is a bit backwards but the damping slider works using a more inverse system. Your settings basically allow barely a millimetre of movement. If max stick is 1.0, you are getting 0.01 (1%) of deflection wih the dampening at minimum. Try moving it up to 0.5 for starters, lowering it if you want less response or increasing it if you want more response.

you mean damping only applies to the autopilot?

Both the deadzone and dampening only apply to autopilot. They are for the CSS or Control Stick Steering mode only.

I changed the settings like you said.....no joy.....seriously starting to wonder what's up, I've had this aircraft working in other versions
on a wild guess I downloaded AVG antivirus free and installed it, set up all the exceptions......BAM!!!.....works like a champ, @#%& win10
one more question on the autopilot
How do I get the coupler to work.....I haven't tried it with the new antivirus yet.....
