Porter engine needs governor

Post by mllgrennman » Thu Jul 14, 2022 3:32 pm

The engine will blow every time you put max throttle...so...just don't put max throttle!....I know, but i cant see this plane not having a governor...in real life, 7000ft is no time for the engine to quit...and the aviation industry goes to extremes to prevent accidents.

This aircraft has no FADEC - in the real world or our model. Pretty much any PT-6 turboprop aircraft you must manage the engine yourself...there is no governor and you can wreck it without proper management.

PS - Post moved to proper support area.

What about a "stop" on the throttle levers?..just so its impossible to max out.
