No Instrument Lights
Hello,
I updated to MD 530F PBR (P3D V4.5), but I can't switch on the instrument lights.
When pushing the L-Button, only the frame around the GPS is lightning.
Also the rotary-knob has no effect ...
Any idea or solution ?
Thank you !
Greetings
Thomas Mueller/EDDK

Re: No Instrument Lights
Unzip these and replace the appropriate file in each of the Model folders:
Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Rotorcraft\MILVIZ_MD_530\Model
and
Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Rotorcraft\MILVIZ_MD_530\Model.PONT
Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Rotorcraft\MILVIZ_MD_530\Model
and
Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Rotorcraft\MILVIZ_MD_530\Model.PONT

Re: No Instrument Lights
I confirm, that it works fine, thanks to all for the fast correction
but ... I saw another strange behavior with lighting
any action on the internal light (above pilot head), switch off the light of the instruments panel
not really important , only strange
Didier

Re: No Instrument Lights
I have the same problem with no instrument lights. The bezel frame light illuminates around the GTN750, the instrument panel is dark. Followed your directions with open as Administrator, UAC off, Norton 360 off (download and installation), installed 2015 redistributable and installed the patch over v1. Next, I uninstalled the MD, MVAMS and the MV folder in user apps roaming. Then I downloaded and installed MV_MD530P3Dv4_v1.200130, the result was the same. I attempted four or five times with new downloads, no change.
Is the MD530F P3d4.5 compatible? I see on the web page it states v4.

Re: No Instrument Lights
Ok, is there any other required software 32 or 64 bit needed in addition to 2015 redistributable to make this work? I have the MV_T-38A_v3.180501 from FSX installed in P3d4.5 and the interior lights work. No other aircraft has lighting problems. My system is a Dell Alienware X51 R2 with a GTX970. Any ideas? Don

Re: No Instrument Lights
I tried several more attempts at this. The files in AppData Local and Roaming were deleted prior to starting each clean install. I am using MV_MD530P3Dv4_v1.200130. Without making any changes in MVAMS, I ran P3D and selected the first entry at the top of the MD530 menu. The sim executed normally with night time. I pressed shift L for a quick test and two error messages appeared; Error failed to create render target, and Error failed to create render target view.
One other thing that caught my attention was the file in AppData/Roaming/MD530 P3Dv4 1.0.1.0. Is this the first version installer or the patched version?
The end result is still no interior lights.

Re: No Instrument Lights
Did you install the models above after running the.exe ?, I need to verify the release version includes the right models , not sure why these were not in it , I didn't do the installer this time and there does seem to be an issue with the initial run .

Re: No Instrument Lights
Yes, I tried the patch models over the initial release and the patched full download in Oisins' email. The results were the same, no interior lights.
I deleted those files.
I am using "MV_MD530P3Dv4_v1.200130" from customer downloads.
My system is a generic stock Dell desktop, no modifications, Windows10, P3D4.5, both current and I do not experience any other flight sim problems.
I saved a copy of the event viewer. Here is a small cut and paste:
Application: MVAMS.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Exception Info: System.InvalidOperationException
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Log Name: Application
Source: Application Error
Faulting application name: MVAMS.exe, version: 1.0.2.0, time stamp: 0x5cd0c20a
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.18362.628, time stamp: 0x54734dee
Sorry to be a pain, I know I can't be the only one that has a glitch with this, anyway thanks for the effort.
