Error when closing P3DV4.3

Hello,

I am running the TacPack version of the F-86 on P3D V4.3.29.25520. The F-86 version is v4.170607. I'm running this on a Windows 7 machine.

The fault I'm getting after closing P3D is "Milviz F-86F lighting service has stopped working". The fault module name is "MV_F86_NL.exe. I have looked at the following post, https://milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... 619#p68619 for a soloution but my version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 is newer than that linked.

It is actually the light service exe, not P3D itself that is crashing. You sure P3D itself is closing down properly?

That's what I figured as I wasn't getting a P3D error.

P3D is closing down properly when I don't have the Milviz F-86F loaded. The only time this error happens is when I close P3D after flying the Sabre.

Well just to check that the rest is operating properly when you run the sim, are you able to get cockpit lights?

Edit: I can replicate it this side. The error doesn't appear as a popup for me, but if I go to the event viewer it is there. Will investigate further.

Hi JB, I've had the same issue on P3D V4.5 HF2 (F-86 non TP), but with the new MV_F86_NL.exe linked above (1.0.0.1) cockpit lights do not lit, any suggestions? (W10pro 1909, C++2015-2019 x86 x64)

Verified that your lighting exe is set to run as admin, as well as the sim? Also right click on that lighting exe, select properties, and make sure there is no Unblock checkbox. If there is, check it and apply.

Sim run as admin with UAC off + "disable ful-screen optimisations" checked, entire P3D folder excluded from ESET real-time protection (performance exclusions), in ProcMon I see a lot of name collisions and sharing violations related to NV cache, also some missing .bmp files.

I've tested the latest installer viewtopic.php?f=70&t=12282 MV_F-86_v4.170607 and found two MV_F86_NL.exe.1880.dmp in crashdumps, but cockpit lights are working.

Meh...It is slated for an update to RealLight soon and then I can get rid of this old bad technique.
